Luz de error encendida o parpadeando
La luz naranja de la impresora está encendida o parpadeando (solución)
En algunas impresoras Brother podemos encontrar varios indicativos de luz que nos informan sobre el estado de la impresora. Normalmente, disponen de una luz de encendido y apagado, para saber si está encendida la impresora; y otra de fallo o error, que puede indicar algún problema interno que se deba solventar.
Dependiendo del problema que tenga la impresora y del modelo de impresora, la luz puede indicar una cosa u otra.
Impresoras con indicadores de "DRUM" y "Error"
En el caso que tengas una impresora con un indicador LED que pone "DRUM" y otro indicador que pone "Error". Los significados de las luces son diferentes:
Luz de "Drum" parpadeando y luz "Ready" en verde.
Cuando estés imprimiendo o enciendas la impresora y de pronto empiece a parpadear la luz naranja de "Drum" esto significa que el tambor se está agotando y por lo tanto tendrás que cambiarlo en breve.
Si has instalado un tambor nuevo, puede que esto te haya ocurrido por no reiniciar el contador de la unidad de tambor. Echa un vistazo al post sobre como reiniciar el contador de tambor de las impresoras Brother.
Luz de "Drum" encendida de forma fija y luz "Ready" en verde.
Si la luz del tambor está encendida de forma fija, eso es que el tambor ha llegado a su fin de vida útil y tienes que cambiarlo para poder seguir imprimiendo.Puede haberte pasado que, al instalar un tambor nuevo, no hayas reiniciado el contador de tambor, por lo que tendrás que resetearlo para que la impresora lo detecte como tambor nuevo.
Luz de "Drum" encendida y luz de "Error" en naranja.
Si ambas luces están encendidas, indica un bloqueo del tambor. En estos casos, recomendamos volver a instalar el tambor de nuevo y reiniciar el contador de la impresora para eliminar el error.
Impresoras con un sólo indicador de luz (!)
Este es el caso de impresoras más sencillas que sólo tienen dos luces indicadoras.
Luz de error "(!)" parpadea 3 veces y se apaga durante un segundo
Este patrón de luces indica el fin de vida del tambor pronto o que tienes que reemplazarlo porque ya está agotado.
En el caso en que hayas cambiado el tambor recientemente y te aparece la luz parpadeando, tendrás que indicar a la impresora que has cambiado el tambor por uno nuevo para lo que tendrás que reiniciar el contador.
